Simone Falso was born in Padua in 1975. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and at the Hoch Schule der Kunst in Berlin.

In 2002 he moved to London where he worked as a photographer (BCC, CHANNEL 4) and where he made several video productions as director of photography (what about the weather, TV CHOICE, The twisted tale of bloody Mary, TV CHOICE).

He lives in Berlin from 2004 to 2007, where he continues his artistic research through painting. His photographic images are published in important books and periodicals (including Internazionale, The Times, L’Espresso).

Since 2010 he has devoted himself more to cinema, as assistant director, stage photographer, and director of photography for renowned directors including Ermanno Olmi and Andrea Segre.

He is the founder and president of Kinima, a center of experimentation and cultural training in Padua.
