MERIS ANGIOLETTI

Born in Italy in 1977, lives and works in Paris. After earning a diploma in photography from Cfp Bauer in Milan, in 2004 she completed her studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, also in Milan. She is currently PhD researcher at Institut ACTE, Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. 

Rooting her researches in the history of art and cinema, particularly the first forms of abstraction, as well as in cognitive science, psychology and esoterism, Meris Angioletti’s works explore the mechanics of perception, memory, body and voice. 

She has exhibited in European museums and galleries, was called in 2012 to the 30th São Paulo Biennial and in 2010 to the 54th Venice Art Biennale. She is currently working on a project for Bonaventure, Prix Ricard 2020/2021.
