The Masbedo duo was born in Milan in 1999 from the collaboration of Nicolò Massazza (1973) and Iacopo Bedogni (1970), artists active in the field of visual art and installation art. Masbedo conducts research around cinematographic narration through new technologies. Their works spread an intense and emotional narrative, digging deep into the subjectivity of the characters. Sophisticated and elaborate images arousing the spectator’s emotional involvement: “We try to tell the story of man, the intent to love, the possibility of communicating, pain, being, death; and to do this we create situations in which our protagonists are truly lost in imaginary places full of emotional resonances “. With a predilection for paroxysmal and excessive situations, Masbedo deploys his human theater, turning a gaze sometimes deeply empathic, sometimes instead more dryly analytical.
